The aspiring model said doctors told her the attack nearly left her dead.

An aspiring model took a public stance against an abusive boyfriend by posting pictures online of her horrific injuries after the man allegedly pushed her out of a moving car and beat her on a Las Vegas street. Mori Gabriella Montgomery, 19, has been updating nearly 10,000 followers on her social media accounts with her progress since the brutal
attack last month that nearly left her dead.

But she said the pictures of her bloodied body were not meant to show her as a victim, but a survivor. And she wants her story to expose the seriousness of domestic violence.

Mori Montgomery, 19, posted pictures of her injuries to her social media accounts after her boyfriend allegedly kicked her out of a moving vehicle and beat her last month.

“Pity is not what I ask from you,” she wrote in one post on her Twitter account. “I am well aware that those pictures may look as if I want attention, but that is far from my goal here.”

The aspiring model said she had only been with her boyfriend, who was not identified, for about eight months when he turned violent.

The 19-year-old said she had been with her boyfriend for about eight months before he brutally attacked her in February.

“He was always jealous and extra aggressive,” she told news.com.au. “We were playing one day and he slapped me really hard. He apologized straight after, so I didn't think anything of it, really, until this happened.”

Montgomery said in another note uploaded to her Twitter account that her boyfriend began accusing her of cheating on him when he attacked her inside during a drive.

Montgomery said she doesn’t want to be looked at as a victim of domestic violence, but as a survivor.

“I was kicked out of a moving vehicle, then beaten and dragged, as I blacked out and was left lying there in my own puddle of blood,” she wrote. “Doctors said I could have died.”

She said her list of injuries included severe cuts and scarring along her arms, chest and shoulder, along with bruising to her ribs. She said doctors told her to wear a neck brace for about a month.

Montgomery said the attack left her with scarring on her arms, chest and shoulder.

Montgomery said she’s pressing charges against her ex-boyfriend, whom she hasn’t contacted since the attack.

“Domestic violence is such an overlooked crime,” Montgomery told news.com.au. “Nobody truly understands how often tragedies happen due to spouse mistreatment. I plan to put an end to the silence.”

And, slowly, she’s starting to heal.

The 19-year-old aspiring model said she is slowly recovering, but hopes her story exposes the seriousness of domestic violence.

“I am recovering fairly well and instead of relying for people to help me eat, drink, walk, put clothes on, etc.; I am slowly but surely learning to do these things on my own,”she posted on her facebook 

“I ask to please continue to keep me in your prayers for I have a long journey of recovery ahead of me. Not just physically but emotionally as well.”..
